The Foundation for This Blog

After my preamble about why I started this blog, I thought I would reveal the foundation that the blog is based on.  That foundation is the gospel of Jesus Christ.  I believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God and the Heir to God's throne.  That's that.

The gospel is this, that no matter who you are, Jesus came and lived an unblemished life so that He could be sacrificed for the atonement of your sins - that is to say WHATSOEVER you have done that was wrong in this life -  so that He could be reunited with you in His kingdom.  All you have to do to get started (to get started, I say) is believe in Him and to turn from a life of sin.

He loves you.  He knows you.  And He wants to see you again.

And the fact that goes hand in hand with this is that He inspired His friends and His family to write His promises to you in the Bible.  If you have any question for life, the answer can be found in the Bible.  So that is what this blog is about.  Relating what I get from reading the Bible, and what the Bible tells me about life from A to Z, from Alpha to Omega, from beginning to end, from cover to cover.  I've read it all; I love it all.  Read along with me, won't you?  It's the best book you'll ever get into.  It blows any other book out of the water. 

Are you going to suddenly live a perfect life and never do anything wrong again?  Not likely.  Does it mean that you suddenly are right in everything you do and can do no wrong?  Heavens to Betsy, no.  But it means that you begin to live a life pleasing to God, and this is an easy burden to carry, as you will see.  God bless. 

Why Blog?

I asked myself this very question. Why would I want to blog?  Why not just facebook, or write to myself, or whathaveyou?

Matthew 10:27 says, "What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops."  This is my preaching on the housetops.  I'm thankful to the Lord for placing me in a time and age when this type of instant desktop publishing is so easy.  To be in a time where education is free and study tools can bring information in an instant.  I'm thankful for the Lord for His teaching and for His blessings.  This is my offering.  We will see if it is a sweet savour. 

I make this statement: I am no teacher; I am a student, and I plan to be a student for as long as He wills.
